When a young girl, Laura Rea Dickey did not think that there would ever come a time she would be in charge of her family business. Now that she has grown to become a mature female, she has been entrusted with a huge responsibility, to lead Dickey’s Barbeque Restaurants as its Chief Executive Officer. Although it has not been easy to her, Laura Rea Dickey says she has learned a lot after studying how famous marketers conduct their work hence draw clients to their business.

Laura Rea Dickey particularly mentions a famous British marketer David Ogilvy. According to Laura Rea Dickey the Briton was a genius. The man’s words were so powerful that high-end companies in the world paid him dearly to ensure they remained in business. True to his words, David brought many clients to companies that needed clients most such as Dove, American Express and motor vehicle manufacturer Rolls Royce to name but a few. Laura Rea Dickey says that ever since she became Dickey’s Barbeque Restaurants CEO slightly over ten years ago, she started to study what makes various businesses stay afloat. She realized that although the package contains a list of items, top of the agenda is advertising. Yes, the power of tweaking words is one of the things Laura Rea Dickey learnt could ensure her family business remained afloat.

Thankfully, the CEO says she has over the past few years employed different high-end marketing campaigns, all of which have shown tremendous results. Dickey’s Barbeque Restaurants was founded in 1941. Back then, the business started with a single unit of a smoker. Today, 80 years later, Dickey’s Barbeque Restaurants has opened several joints. Hitherto, the family-owned business is available in 550 different locations in 44 U.S. states. The current CEO Laura Rea Dickey who comes from the family says she will stop at nothing in her quest to ensure the business stands still.
