Gretchen Robinson is a prominent American attorney who has been in the law field for a significant period. Ms. Robinson was raised in Columbia District, Washington, and studied law at the Washington College of Law. She also graduated from American University, where she earned a Juris Doctor bachelor’s degree, and attended the University of Virginia, where she got a bachelor’s degree in Arts and Sciences in Anthropology and French.
Gretchen Robinson began her career in the Attorney’s Office in the Queens Region. She then served on the board of the Civilian Complaint Review, where she carried out several administrative prosecutions in the Administrative Trials Department. In 2015, Gretchen joined the State Government to serve as the Internal Controls and Compliance Officer for Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation.
Gretchen Robinson was hired as Senior Counsel (SC) at the Empire State Development Authority Department of Minority and Women’s Corporate Development. She assisted the department with policy challenges and presented resolutions to the MWBE course. She also assisted other organizations and state welfare corporations concerning MWBE difficulties and represented the Division in regulatory appeals.
Gretchen Robinson was appointed to be the General Counsel and Deputy Chief of Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation in September 2019. This organization was developed by New York State in 1984 to serve various purposes, including planning, developing, designing, operating, and maintaining Roosevelt Island. Its goal was to provide environmentally friendly and innovative solutions while improving the island’s residential neighborhood. Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation operates the islands’ parks, roads, public transportation, and sports facilities.
